Birthday Treat Bag

Hi friends and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

It’s me Joann here today sharing a fun little treat bag that I created for my son’s upcoming birthday party! He is having a baseball themed party and turning the big 5 (oh man my heart hurts, he’s growing up way too fast for me)!

I started with a 11 x 3 1/2 sheet of cardstock and scored long ways at 4 1/4, 5 1/2, 9 3/4. I then took my CTMH Artiste Cartridge to cut my 5 and label (pg. 80) out of some White Daisy cardstock and used the Perfect Fit- Frames 2 Flair to stamp the coordinating image using some Cranberry Ink.

I wanted a little of a distressed look to a few images, so I used a little of the Cocoa Ink to distress my images. I added my sentiment using the Holiday Tags Occasions stamp set to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment around my Custom TCP Flair (the sky is the limit with creating your own flair, something definitely worth checking out).

To finish off my treat bag, I glued all of my images, added the bag of Pop Rocks inside and simply took my mini attacher (or a stapler) to help hold the candy and to close the treat bag!

Well that’s all for today, hope you enjoyed this mini treat bag! Thanks again for stopping by!

Bookmark/Card

Hi TCP friends!! It’s Stephanie from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) here today to share my latest project using The Crafty Pickle flair & CTMH products. I made a card that could be given for many different occasions-birthday, congratulations, thank you, etc.

I used the “I Love Books” flair button, some washi tape and self-adhesive sequins, all from The Crafty Pickle shop.

I love to read! Unfortunately, my kids do not love it that much and I am constantly trying to entice them into reading. I thought this card might do the trick!

I slipped in a little bookmark that can be pulled out of the top of the card & used when reading. I also thought it would be nice to give the card with a bookstore gift card inside!

Kids and Project Life

Hi there, its Treasa here today and I wanted to share how I get my granddaughter involved in my Project Life album. Of course I have tons of photos of her and memorabilia from places and events but I wanted to have her add a personal touch to my album. So I have her draw me a picture or write me a note on a PL card. I think it will be a great way to look back on and remember that time.

Today I gave her a plain 4×6 piece of heavy weight cardstock and asked her to draw me a picture of her and I and this is what she came up with:Art by KayleeI just added a star for the flair to sit on and added the date to the card. In case you can’t tell that is her and me sitting by the pool.

Art by Kaylee2I love how I can get custom flair from The Crafty Pickle to help make my PL album more personalized. The Art by flair is also available in several different colors and you can also get it as a magnet and display your little ones art on the refrigerator.

Art by Kaylee3So grab some blank PL cards and hand your kids some crayons, markers, pencils and let them help make your PL album more personal and special.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!!!

From Simple to Fabulous… Just add Flair

Happy Hump Day!  Here is a little crafty inspiration to get you through the week.

I am part of a group on facebook that creates and swaps handmade Project life style cards and embellishments. You can find us here – Projectlifecardswaps.com   Our own Taniesa is one of the hostess in our group.  She hosts a new swap every month called JAF – Just Add Flair.  For this swap we are to create a 3×4 or 4×6 PL card with a spot for the receiver to add a flair button.

Here is the card I created for this round of swaps.  The red flower is where the receiver can add their own flair button or embellishment to personalize their card.

So This is my card that I personalized using a custom flair from TheCraftyPickle shop

This is a special flair button that Taniesa sent me as a sample of the beautiful gold foil flairs that will soon be released in several amazing designs in TheCraftyPickle shop around August 14th. You can say you saw it here first. A special Sneak Peek just for you!  These are really beautiful in person.  So be sure to check back and see the entire New release on August 14th.

All-Star Card

Hey TCP friends! It’s Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps).

I have a card to share that I made for my son who was selected to play on our Little League’s All Star team. He was at practice yesterday & fractured his finger when a ball popped up & hit his finger. I figured this card was perfect to give him some encouragement & support right now!

all star

I punched stars from my card with my Fiskars craft punch. I then used leftover acetate from an old package to place on the inside of my card. Once the top piece of acetate was strongly secured to the card, I filled it with the Star Spangled Relish Mix sequins from the shop. After I had the desired amount of sequins inside, I secured the other side of the acetate with redline tape.

I then added some twine, one of my punched stars & some self-adhesive sequin dots.

I hope this helps my little guy feel a bit better!

“Celebrate” Birthday Card

Joann here today, thank you so much for stopping by!

Today, I am sharing a a fun birthday card that I made using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and some fabulous TCP Relish Mix.

I cut the card image on pg. 71 of the Art Philosophy handbook twice. I cut one of them in half, I did this because I wanted to sandwich the acetate piece in between to help hide the glue in the inside of the card. I took some mini glue dots, TCP Something Shiny Relish Mix, TCP Winter Relish Mix and placed them to create my icing and the cupcake liner to the cupcake image.  I didn’t mind that the mini dots showed on the inner side, it actually looked really cool and clean.

I cut my sentiment out 4 times from the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge (pg. 65 in the handbook) then stacked them one on top of the other to help add some great dimension.  To finish off the card I scattered a few stars from TCP Cinema Relish Mix.

That’s all for today and thanks so much for stopping by!
