A Favorite Memory

Hey there crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout.

I am trying my hardest to get caught up on older photos that need to be scrapped and getting my kids’ albums organized! It’s a big undertaking but I love making scrapbook pages & revisiting old memories. This one is one of my favorites!

puddles & rainbootsMy son loved his red rain boots when he was three and in them he discovered the love of jumping in puddles! I will never forget how happy he was when we returned home from an errand & he was able to splash in the puddles!

IMG_1190This flair button is the perfect compliment to my page!! It is the “Favorite Memory” button from the  I added it on top of a chipboard circle which was placed on top of a cork circle for added dimension. I love adding thread on my page to lend some texture.

Cuties-A Scrapbbok Page

Hi Crafty friends! Happy Monday to you all. Hope it is going well so far for you!

I have another layout to share today using flair buttons from the store. Today I used a button from the gold foil collection that I absolutely adore and one from the “Life Documented” collection.

cuties

I started with a sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy this month and kept my page pretty simple. I love this photo of my two kiddos along with their cousins on St. Patrick’s Day! I wanted it to stand out and the flair buttons placed at each end of the picture really  help to anchor it yet also make it pop!

I chose the “Oh Happy Day” button to compliment the beige and green on the page.

The “Today” flair button worked well with the St. Patrick’s Day theme!

Try adding some fun flair to your next scrapbook page! I guarantee you’ll love the results!!

Scrapping with Flair!

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout with you.

I love making scrapbook pages and incorporating flair buttons on my pages always excites me! Here is a look at my page:

new jeep

I started with the latest sketch from My Scraps & More. This is a page about my son’s love for his Power Wheels Jeep! I used lots of round elements to mimic the tires of a vehicle.

I adhered the “Documented” flair button onto a cork circle for more depth. I also used some self-adhesive sequins, also from TCP!

Many times flair buttons are thought to be made for PL or planners, but as you can see, they work well on traditional scrapbook pages too!

Sweet Birthday Card

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest card using The Crafty Pickle flair.

My sweet friend from high school (yep, we’ve been friends a LONG time!) had a birthday a week ago and I made her this card:

hbd 2u card

It’s a pretty simple card, using scrap papers from  my stash, some rumpled ribbon, foam alphas and this very cute elephant flair button! She adores elephants and when I first saw this button, she came to mind!

Isn’t the flair button the cutest?! I just love it and hope she enjoys this sweet card as well.

I love to read! Unfortunately, my kids do not love it that much and I am constantly trying to entice them into reading. I thought this card might do the trick!

I slipped in a little bookmark that can be pulled out of the top of the card & used when reading. I also thought it would be nice to give the card with a bookstore gift card inside!

Flair On A Layout

Hey TCP friends! It’s Stephanie from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) here today to share my latest layout with you. I created a Fourth of July page using the All American flair set.

I have to admit, I don’t create many patriotic pages! They intimidate me, but these flair buttons make the process fun and exciting!! I used three of the six in the set. be free

the crafty pickle flair layout

I hand cut several banners to accent the top corner and have one laying on top of my photo. I love how this takes away some of the blank space of my photo. I added a chipboard arrow & the “Happy Birthday America” flair. LOVE this one!

More hand cut banners under my photo act as a matt. I then mounted the “July 4” flair onto a punched scalloped circle. The paint here acts as my journal block.

layout created using the crafty pickle flair

A pre-printed banner at the bottom & “the Land of the Free Because of the Brave” flair finish off the bottom of my page.

I kept my layout pretty simple and love the dimension the flair buttons add to my page! I could have used them all but wanted to save the remaining three for another page (or maybe cards)!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the day!

(And oh, how I love that face!)
These journal cards are from 7Dots Studio; the alphas are AC Thickers & the sequins is also from The Crafty Pickle. Taniesa even creates custom flair buttons! Check it all out in the store.

Valentine’s Day Mason Jars

Hi Crafty Friends!

I can hardly believe it is February already!! Designer, Stephanie, has an adorable little Valentine project to share with you all today. Check it out!!

________________________________________________________________________

Hey y’all! Happy February, already!!
I am thinking about Valentine’s Day, which will be here before we know it! I wanted to do something small for the kids’ teachers, so I thought mason jars filled with candy would be perfect. Who doesn’t love chocolate?!

I bought these jars at the dollar spot at Target then pulled out a bunch of Valentine related embellishments to decorate them.

The flair buttons are from The Crafty Pickle from theWatercolor Hearts set. This set is great for Valentine’s Day & comes with six assorted 1″ buttons.
I filled the jars with a bunch of chocolate kisses, a chocolate heart & candy bar. I think their teachers will enjoy them-I know I would! Now I just need to make a few more before February 14th!!
Take care & keep crafty!
~Stephanie

FriYAY!!!!!!!!!

Hi Happy Crafty Friends!!!

It is finally Friday! We made it! I dont know about you but this week was a long one and I am ready for the weekend and some scrappy time!

Today designer, Stephanie, has TWO projects to share with you using TCP flair. I hope you love her projects as much as I do, Take a look!

_________________________________________________________________________

I have two projects to share today featuring flair from The Crafty Pickle . The first one is a card that I made for my daughter who is trying out for her school gymnastics team this week! She was nervous & pretty certain that she wouldn’t make the team, so I wanted to make her a card to give her a little extra encouragement!!
I started with this sketch from Cardabilities:

I used my Martha Stewart punch to create the branches in the background. The “shine” flair button is from TCP & can be found here .
I love the combination of colors & textures here! Hope she enjoys the cad too (even if she doesn’t make the team!) I will always be her biggest fan, regardless!
My next project is a layout that started with sketch from Sketchabilities:
I just love a good sketch & this one really caught my eye! Sketchabilities is also teaming up with the challenge site, White With One for this sketch challenge. You are to use white & the color “placid blue”. Here is my page:
I used scrap papers from my stash (I am on a roll using them up nowadays!) and the flair here is also from The Crafty Pickle.
The “snapshots” flair is from their adorable Bright Everyday set. This set comes with 6 buttons that are prefect for any layout, card or PL spread!

The “shake your flakes” flair button comes by itself & is the perfect embellishment for all your winter projects!!  It’s too cute!

I added in other embellishments to complete my page and give it more dimension from Elle’s Studio, Pink Paislee, October Afternoon & Studio Calico.
Thanks for visiting on this Friday!

Happy 8th Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today designer, Stephanie is showing a birthday card she made for her son. Take a look!

Hey y’all! Hope your Thursday is going well. We had some ice & schools were closed yesterday so I am playing catch-up today!
Tomorrow is Ty’s 8th birthday so I made him a card. I wanted to keep it somewhat simple since he is a boy & doesn’t appreciate frills!

I started with the slate blue cardstock & added the plaid paper on top. This was in my scraps box from long ago!

I used the “Happy Birthday” flair from The Crafty Pickle. It is from their Birthday button flair set. The set includes 4 flat-backed buttons that are perfect for birthday crafting!

The sequins on my card is also from The Crafty Pickle. It is the winter sequins mix. I just love the little snowflakes! The cardstock snowflake was punched with my Marvy punch.
Taniesa has a bunch of new flair & sequins in the shop! Be sure to stop by & stock up!! These cold, snowy winter days are the perfect time to craft!

Take care,
~Stephanie

Thanks Stephanie! I always have a hard time with those masculine cards, this is great!
