Hello Santa!

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Lisa here today from Happy Paper & Ink to share a new Project Life card that I created. I am doing some preparation for my December Daily album, so that is what inspired me to create this card.

 tcp22

For this card, I started with Pink Paislee Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad. I cut a tag and a 4×6 project life card from the paper pad. I then cut strips of paper for the side border to add some interest. I cut a snowflake tag  on white and red paper using my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut the title using gold glitter vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo for the title “Hello Santa”.   I doodled around all the edges with a black 0.8 American Crafts Black Pen and inked with black Memento Ink.

tcp23

To finish off the card, I used The Crafty Pickle’s Black & White Color Pop Flair and applied it to the top of the snowflake tag. I added some sequins to the corner of the card from The Crafty Pickle. Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your layout or cards gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Magical Mouse mix for this card. I layered the sequins and put red glitter stickle dots on top of some of the sequins to change the look a little. And finally, I tied a bow at the top of the snowflake tag to tie it all together!

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life card & are inspired. Look for some more blog posts showing my December Daily in the future!

Thanks for looking & Happy Crafting!

December Daily – The Joy of Christmas!

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Lisa here today from Happy Paper & Ink to share a new Project Life card that I created. I am in the beginning stages of working on my December Daily album, so that is what inspired me to create this card.

IMG_6989

For those of you not familiar with December Daily, Ali Edwards created it to document the days of your December. Basically, you do a page for each day spotlighting the activities of the day to include your family traditions, etc. This will be my first year to do this, and I am super excited!

For this card, I started with Pink Paislee Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad. I cut a tag and a 3×4 project life card from the paper pad. I then used The Crafter’s Workshop Positive Stencil and texture paste to create the black cross or plus signs on the paper to add some dimension and interest in the corners. I doodled around all the edges with a black 0.8 American Crafts Black Pen and inked with black Memento Ink.IMG_6987

To finish off the top of the card, I used The Crafty Pickle’s Black & White Color Pop Flair and wrapped a ribbon around it. I added some sequins from The Crafty Pickle. Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your layout or cards gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Magical Mouse mix for this card.

The title on the card is made by using American Crafts cardstock stickers and American Crafts Be Merry Red Thickers Alphabet.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life card & are inspired to start a December Daily! Look for some more blog posts showing my December Daily in the future!

Thanks for looking & Happy Crafting!

A Favorite Memory

Hey there crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout.

I am trying my hardest to get caught up on older photos that need to be scrapped and getting my kids’ albums organized! It’s a big undertaking but I love making scrapbook pages & revisiting old memories. This one is one of my favorites!

puddles & rainbootsMy son loved his red rain boots when he was three and in them he discovered the love of jumping in puddles! I will never forget how happy he was when we returned home from an errand & he was able to splash in the puddles!

IMG_1190This flair button is the perfect compliment to my page!! It is the “Favorite Memory” button from the  I added it on top of a chipboard circle which was placed on top of a cork circle for added dimension. I love adding thread on my page to lend some texture.

IMG_1191IMG_1192   A few more fun embellishments and another page & memory are scrapped & ready to go in the album!

Thanks for visiting! Make it a crafty day!!

It’s a Circus! Pocket Letter

Happy Saturday Crafty Pickle Pals!

I am here to share my latest Pocket Letter created with goodies from TCP!

I fell in love with the Circus flair set when I saw it in the shop so I let it inspire this letter.  When I don’t have paper or stamps to fit the themes I want to create with, I utilize Pinterest and Google image searches to find unique pictures and clip art to use in my letters.  I create my own collage sheet of sorts by copying and pasting the images into Microsoft Word documents and resizing them to fit my needs.  For this letter, and many that I do, I enjoy juxtaposing vintage imagery with more current clip art for a unique look.  I created this letter using the clip art I found and fussy cut, as well as the Circus flair, sticky pickle spots, and the Disney Relish Sequin Mix from the shop (I picked out the Mickey head sequins so I was left with the fun black spotted ones and the red and yellow to match my color scheme in my shaker pocket).  Check out some detail shots below and don’t forget to click on the photos to see them larger!

I can’t wait till the shop reopens so I can add some more fun goodies to my stash!  I haven’t been to a circus since I was small–but this theme was so fun to work with and I never know what will inspire me next from The Crafty Pickle.  I hope I inspired you too!

Happy crafting!

Hi Friends!
It’s Paula here with a layout share.

For the base I used white cardstock and some Queen & Co. patterned paper. I made some ink splats with my black india ink and scattered some Disney pickle relish from the shop around the layout. The stamp set I used is from Close to My Heart. I attached some washi tape and a Disney flair from the shop and used Thickers to create my title.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my layout share!

Cuties-A Scrapbbok Page

Hi Crafty friends! Happy Monday to you all. Hope it is going well so far for you!

I have another layout to share today using flair buttons from the store. Today I used a button from the gold foil collection that I absolutely adore and one from the “Life Documented” collection.

cuties

I started with a sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy this month and kept my page pretty simple. I love this photo of my two kiddos along with their cousins on St. Patrick’s Day! I wanted it to stand out and the flair buttons placed at each end of the picture really  help to anchor it yet also make it pop!

IMG_0974

IMG_0973

I chose the “Oh Happy Day” button to compliment the beige and green on the page.

IMG_0972

The “Today” flair button worked well with the St. Patrick’s Day theme!

Try adding some fun flair to your next scrapbook page! I guarantee you’ll love the results!!

Thanks for stopping by!
