The 30 day coloring challenge (5th edition!)

Hi Friends!

As a lot of you probably know this past 30 days has been The Daily Marker’s 30 day coloring challenge. It was the 5th 30 day coloring challenge that has been hosted by its creator, Kathy, artist and owner of TheDailyMarker.com. The point of this challenge is to get everyone coloring, even if it’s just 5 minutes a day. Coloring can help reduce stress and just exercise your creativity.

Now I have attempted this almost every time and sadly haven’t been able to follow through on the entire 30 days, which is completely okay… Some coloring is better than none right? This time though I was able to manage something nearly every single day of the 30 days and I wanted to pull some of my coloring together in one big post to share. Some projects spanned over a couple of days and some I did in one sitting. I had a lot of fun and even my 10-year-old daughter did some coloring with me too!

I challenged myself to use several different coloring mediums. I really enjoy them all so it is hard to pick a favorite. Here is a peek at my some of my coloring and projects.

“Happy Birthday” CTMH Build-a-Cake Stamp Set

Hi, Joann here today sharing a birthday card with you using the Close to My Heart “Build-a-Cake” stamp set!

Here it is…

This is a really fun stamp set to have! I started off my stamping my cake image using CTMH Inks in colors Black, Honey and Cotton Candy! I did want to point out that the top layer image of my cake is part of the stamp set (the original image has some flowers, but after I stamped my image I took a blending pen and some of the Cotton Candy ink and filled those flowers in to give me a polka dotted cake layer). I then took a black gel pen to outline my cake and add some small details to my flower on top and simply layered my top panel to some pattern paper.

I completed my card by stamping my sentiment onto some vellum and adhered both my sentiment and some AWESOME TCP Relish Mix to my card. I know in the first picture my top left sequins look a bit purple but it’s actually pink, I think my light was hitting it a bit too much, but you can see the pink in the second photo a lot better.

Well that is all for today, thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Here is a look at the stamp set I used!

“Oh Happy Day” CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection

Hi friends! Joann here today on The Crafty Pickle blog, thank you so much for stopping by!

As you may know, I own 4 out of 5 of the Cricut Collections that Close to My Heart offers. I absolutely love them. So with that being said I took one of the stamp sets from the Cricut Artiste Collection to create my card!

I started out with stamping and masking some balloons onto my front panel using CTMH Inks in colors Lagoon, Cotton Candy, and Honey and stamped the balloon strings using the same stamp set with some CTMH Black Ink.

Using the same stamp set from the Cricut Artiste Collection, I took one of the sentiments and stamped it with some Honey Ink and used my scissors to cut it out, there is an image on this cartridge that will cut this banner.

Before gluing my top panel to the base of my card, I took an older CTMH stamp set One Way Border and stamped one of the images multiple times with Black Ink to create a background. I finished it off by gluing my top panel down and gluing some TCP Relish Mix to my card.

Hope you enjoyed and thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Happy Birthday Card

Hi friends! Joann here today, thank you so much for stopping by!

Today I am sharing a card using the new TCP Gold Foil Sentiments Flair!

Isn’t this set GORGEOUS!?!? I love it and you will definitely see me using most if not all of these flairs to create cards! Not only are they fabulous for cards but placing them on tags or small gifts are other great ways to use them.

With all that being said, here is my card using this set

I used the CTMH Artistry Cartridge to cute my cake, candles and cake stand. I then took my flair and placed it on a foiled scalloped circle and mounted this piece right to my cake, using this as my sentiment for my card.

I finished off the card by adding A LOT of TCP Rock Candy Relish Mix! This card came together so nice and quickly, especially that I didn’t have to stamp anything!  Please don’t forget to stop by the shop and check out all of the AWESOMENESS that’s there!

I hope you enjoyed this card, and before I let you go I would like to mention that I am having a fun GIVEAWAY over on my Instagram page! Beautiful Butterfly Watercolor flair.

Good Morning Happy Scrappers.

Today I am going to share with you a quick Birthday card I created using a beautiful watercolor Butterfly flair from #TheCraftyPickle Etsy shop

I love creating my own backgrounds using Adirondack alcohol inks

First thing I did was to squirt two colors of the alcohol ink onto my splat mat and then add some blending solution. This helps to spread the ink around.  Then I just laid my glossy card stock right on top of the ink.

I love the watercolor affect this technique creates.

Once my card base was dry I stenciled some white clouds and then stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment by Technique Tuesday.

To complete my card I layered some pretty pattern papers onto my card base, added my beautiful Butterfly flair and tied some silver floss around the center.

Crafty Pickle flair is the perfect embellishment for beautiful greeting cards.  Be sure and stop by The Crafty Pickle Etsy shop

and grab some today.

Hi, and thanks for stopping by!

I hope you’re not tired of my birthday cards…lol, I’m in the process of building my birthday card stash!!

I used CTMH-Honeycomb stamp set to stamp out my images with colors  LagoonSlate, and Honey. I than stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment with VersaMark and used Ranger White Embossing Powder to emboss it on vellum.  Finally, I took some brads to hold my sentiment piece in place.
That is all for today, hope you leave inspired and thank you for taking the time to stop by!
