December Daily – The Joy of Christmas!

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Lisa here today from Happy Paper & Ink to share a new Project Life card that I created. I am in the beginning stages of working on my December Daily album, so that is what inspired me to create this card.

For those of you not familiar with December Daily, Ali Edwards created it to document the days of your December. Basically, you do a page for each day spotlighting the activities of the day to include your family traditions, etc. This will be my first year to do this, and I am super excited!

For this card, I started with Pink Paislee Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad. I cut a tag and a 3×4 project life card from the paper pad. I then used The Crafter’s Workshop Positive Stencil and texture paste to create the black cross or plus signs on the paper to add some dimension and interest in the corners. I doodled around all the edges with a black 0.8 American Crafts Black Pen and inked with black Memento Ink.IMG_6987

To finish off the top of the card, I used The Crafty Pickle’s Black & White Color Pop Flair and wrapped a ribbon around it. I added some sequins from The Crafty Pickle. Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your layout or cards gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Magical Mouse mix for this card.

The title on the card is made by using American Crafts cardstock stickers and American Crafts Be Merry Red Thickers Alphabet.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life card & are inspired to start a December Daily! Look for some more blog posts showing my December Daily in the future!

Thanks for looking & Happy Crafting!

Cuties-A Scrapbbok Page

Hi Crafty friends! Happy Monday to you all. Hope it is going well so far for you!

I have another layout to share today using flair buttons from the store. Today I used a button from the gold foil collection that I absolutely adore and one from the “Life Documented” collection.

cuties

I started with a sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy this month and kept my page pretty simple. I love this photo of my two kiddos along with their cousins on St. Patrick’s Day! I wanted it to stand out and the flair buttons placed at each end of the picture really  help to anchor it yet also make it pop!

I chose the “Oh Happy Day” button to compliment the beige and green on the page.

The “Today” flair button worked well with the St. Patrick’s Day theme!

Try adding some fun flair to your next scrapbook page! I guarantee you’ll love the results!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapping with Flair!

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout with you.

I love making scrapbook pages and incorporating flair buttons on my pages always excites me! Here is a look at my page:

new jeep

I started with the latest sketch from My Scraps & More. This is a page about my son’s love for his Power Wheels Jeep! I used lots of round elements to mimic the tires of a vehicle.

I adhered the “Documented” flair button onto a cork circle for more depth. I also used some self-adhesive sequins, also from TCP!

Many times flair buttons are thought to be made for PL or planners, but as you can see, they work well on traditional scrapbook pages too!

Thanks for visiting today!

Remembering Dad

Remembering Dad

This Father’s Day will be particularly hard for me and my family this year. We lost our Dad in February to a traumatic accident.
My Dad was an awesome guy and the life of the party. We know that he wouldn’t want us to be sad on this day, so I decided
we would celebrate him on Father’s Day. Taniesa created some special flair for me so that I could use them to create cards for my
PL album. I have to say when I first saw them , I cried and I couldn’t believe how perfect and how special these were.

First I wanted to create a card using this My Favorite Memory of my Dad flair so I could document that memory of my Dad.

favorite

His grandchildren called him Superman, they seen him as a strong man who could get through anything, so I wanted to create
a card to honor our ” Superman” using a custom flair of a photo of my Dad.

super

Lastly I wanted to share a lovely gift that Taniesa sent to me for my family and me to wear on Father’s Day, how special is this ribbon and its something we could wear every Father’s Day!!

father

I love how special these custom flair are and how they will help us celebrate and remember my Dad on this Father’s Day.

Taniesa can create custom flair for you no matter the subject, just send her a message in The Crafty Pickle shop and let
her know what you are looking for.

Cute Father’s Day Card

Happy Friday! It’s Joann, stopping by to share a Father’s Day card with you!
Here it is…
I kept it super simple. I started off by cutting 3 tie’s using the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge out of some CTMH White Daisy card stock with my cricut. I then stamped a coordinating tie image from the Perfect Fit-Dad Holiday stamp set with some Lagoon and Honey Ink.
Using the same stamp set I stamped “World’s Greatest” on a 2 inch circle piece of vellum with some Versa Mark and used some black embossing powder and then placed a flair from TCP Family themed flair set right in the center. I finished the card by adding some foam adhesive to the tie’s and drew a white square to add a little something.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card, and as always thanks for stopping by and have a FABULOUS day!

Sketches and Sequins with Stephanie!

Hi Everyone!

Ever get in a creative slump? Designer, Stephanie, took a sketch and made it her own with accents of TheCraftyPickle sequins and some flair. Check it out!

Hey y’all! I hope this day is treating you well! We are fighting off colds around here & trying to get healthy for the New Year!

I have a post to share today featuring flair & sequins from The Crafty Pickle. I made a layout using this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:

Here is my page:

I started by stamping the circles on my cardstock. I then added strips of paper from my stash. I love, love, love using up scraps!!
The black & white striped paper is from Glitz & the multi-colored snowflake paper is from Imaginisce. The stars are from Pink Paislee & the journal card is from Pretty Little Studio.
Here is a closer look at the red & white flair button from TCP. I love how festive it is! I also love how well it matches the paper here from Elle’s Studio. You can get a good look at the Christmas sequins mix here too.
The crown is from Um Wow Studios & I misted it red then added some coarse glitter.
This arrow flair button is glittery & the perfect accent to my Christmas page!
There’s more of the yummy Christmas sequins & the ornament die cut is from Pink Paislee. My alphas are from Fancy Pants.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a crafty day!
~Stephanie
Thanks Stephanie! I LOVE your layout!!!

Sweet Treat!

Hey Crafty Friends!
Designer, Cathy, is up with an adorable holiday layout! Check it out
Hey everyone it’s Cathy here with another post for The Crafty Pickle. I wanted to use some of the wonderful December/Christmas flair badges and sequins and I thought what better way to use the lovely candy striped badges then to showcase them on a layout about my daughter getting candy canes stuck in her hair. I apologize that the photos aren’t at their normal quality, I ended up having to take them with my phone instead of my usual Canon camera.
I adore how she used the flair and sequins, all the clusters and layering are perfect.
Thanks Cathy!
I hope you all have a very Merry week!!!

Julie designer at TheCrafty Pickle

My name is Julia, I’m 23 and I’m from Russia. I have been scrapbooking for about three years. At the begining I did only greeting cards, but now I enjoy making Layouts, mini-albums, and other scrapbook projects. I was designing for different russian Challenge Blogs. I like to watch at my progress and I want to develope my skills more and more. I think my style is bright, clean and light… with a little bit of splashes ( though my first projects at the beginning of my fascination with scrapbooking were in vintage style) Last year I became a big fan of the CAS style in cardmaking. I’m so excited to be the part of the Crafty Pickle Design Team and I’m ready to create many interesting projects and share it with people!

I’m married to my hubby of twenty five years, I have two rowdy boys ages 8 and 16 years old and I love to read other peoples blogs, go on adventures, pin stuff on pinterest, cook, craft, and am a reality show junkie. I ‘m a sucker for a little romance or a sappy chick flick. I would say my scrapbooking style would be “organized chaos”. And this hobby has become a way for me to connect with others, express myself, preserve memories and relax with my friends

I will be back tomorrow to introduce you to more talented ladies!

Happy Crafting!
