Hi, Crafty Friends!

Quick post today to remind you (or let you know if you didn’t already) that today is Amazon Prime day! One day a year that Amazon rolls out black friday like deals which include many crafty items too! If you are not yet a prime member then I highly recommend it! My family has saved so much with Prime membership on Groceries, Household items, Digital PurchasesMajor purchases, and even Home Services.

Try Amazon Prime for 30 days, FREE!

If you are a Student (or have a student in your home) you can get a discount on your Prime membership and you get a 6 month free trial!, for more info click HERE.

Here are some of the deals I have found that I can personally recommend:

Amazon Echo : We have two of these (one upstairs and one down although you really only need one + A dot in any other room you would like) I love these and I have one in my craft room to listen to music with Amazon’s new Music service or ask questions …. admittedly most of the time it is “Alexa, how do you spell _____” LOL! The Echo is normally $179.99 but today it is $89.99

Echo Dot : great for rooms in your home if you already have your Echo! My husband loves to hook up all our lights to it. Remember the Clapper? LOL I am sure I dated myself but this is MUCH better than that LOL! Under $35 today only.

Kindle Paperwhite reader: I really love mine. I have an iPad so I didn’t think I would want one but this is so lightweight, portable, and I can read it in the sun or in bed when its dark, No glare, very easy on my eyes and you can adjust the font size several times to a font that is easy for you to read. There are several options available and all are $30 off today.

Or if you enjoy listening to books (maybe while you are crafting?) Try out Amazon’s Audible service

Amazon now has a Etsy like section where you can buy handcrafted items. It is still pretty new but I am really loving what I am seeing so far. Check it out HERE .

Okay, the most FUN family game ever….. Watch Ya Mouth! This game is a ton of laughs for all ages! $12.88 (normally $19.99)

Did you know that Amazon had prime sample boxes??? Me either! They DO and they are neat! Check them all out HERE!

You can get an extra $10 off your pantry box today. Shop the Pantry HERE.

This Office chair is great, we got one for my Son and he loves it.  We really do enjoy the Amazon basics line of products. I get the Amazon Basics Batteries all the time and save a ton.

****OK so here is the specific CRAFTY THINGS!!!*****
You can see the main Crafty Deal page *HERE*!

Cricut Explore Air 2: So this is something I do not own yet, Although its been on my wish list a while. I own a Silhouette Cameo and although I love it’s functionality I really hate its wireless capability. I was opposed to the Cricut for a long time but now that you don’t have to buy endless cartridges I am really really wanting this pretty aqua machine! My friends who own it LOVE theirs and I am very jelly! It’s only $199 today! *This deal ended but there is another Cricut machine on sale, see the end of this list*

WRMK Heatwave Tool Starter Kit: I love this for adding little touches of shine! $13.81

BEE watercolor paper: This paper is really good quality, I was surprised when I tried it. It is not as good as Arches but better than Canson XL and today it’s under $10 which makes it pretty affordable!

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers: These are a FANTASTIC water based marker and very popular right now. I love mine, I started with a small set and quickly upgraded. So… the 80 set is limited and not too many left when I checked but it is only $104 which is a steal! I LOVE these markers and Amazon always seems to have the best prices. There is also other sets at great prices…. The 36 count set, 48 count set, and set of 60

Artbin Super Satchel storage $19.76 (reg $30.99) This is a great storage tote for all sorts of crafty things (and a pretty color too)

Thin Profile Light Pad $31.99 (I bought one very similar for over $50) I really get a ton of use from this light pad. I am so glad I don’t have to deal with that bulky light box anymore.

Silhouette Portrait Craft Bundle $115.50 (Reg 199.99) I LOVE my Cameo but if I had to buy one all over again I would get this smaller sleek-looking machine. I love that you can do so much with it and cut out any font on your computer. Personally I think this is a must have for any paper crafter.

500 count Velcro Dots (great for boxes, gift packaging, organization, and 3D projects).. you’ll never need to buy any again LOL! $11.19 (Reg 19.99)

Bowdabra Bow Maker: I don’t have a sale price on this yet as it is an upcoming deal but this is a great tool! I own the mini and love it!

Colored Pencil Storage: $22.99 (Reg 25.99 and I have seen similar for up to $75.00) Holds up to 150 pencils!

Brother XM1010 10 stitches and Auto Buttonhole Sewing Machine: Upcoming deal mid morning. Reg is $101.99. I am watching this one closely for my daughter who is just getting into sewing. Brother Machines have always been very durable and dependable for me.

Derwent Water Brush set (of three): Upcoming deal Reg $ 20.99 This is a great set of water brushes. I got mine for around $14 and I really love them and have used them a lot without any problems at all. One is this firm marker like tip that is interesting and that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Iris 4×6 Photo and embellishment Craft Keeper 2 storage boxes with 32 4×6 individual boxes: these are AWESOME I use them for project boxes and keep things grouped together nicely.. They are great to grab and go if you want to pop one of the 4×6 boxes in your purse too. Upcoming deal (Reg $ 57.99)
Cricut Explore Air (first generation) only $140.49! This is a great deal for those that don’t care about the minor differences of this machine over the Explore Air 2.

THESE Watercolor box tins are traditional and usually expensive. I have purchased them on the amazon sale price which is a great deal but now they are priced at $11.99 to 15.99 which is CRAZY. They have them in three different sizes with full or half pans included (you can also get them without pans. This is a must grab deal!

There is SO much more… Some things that I cannot recommend personally but I am purchasing today for the first time. There are lots of items for every kind of crafter and I am sure I did not see everything yet. Be sure to check out the main deal page and the craft specific deals  throughout the day. You can even set notifications for the upcoming deals so you can get alerts when it goes live.

I hope this list helps you in your shopping today. I will update the list as I see new deals worth mentioning. If you have a deal you think I should share please let me know in the comments below this post!

I will be back this Friday with the Honey Bee Stamps Under the Sea new release blog (swim) hop! Make sure you check social media and the Honey Bee Stamps page for sneak Peeks!

Tuesday Planner Love!

Hi Friends & Happy Tuesday!

It’s Lisa here today to share this week’s planner layout. Planners are on trend in the Paper crafting community. The Crafty Pickle’s shop will be opening back up soon. Be sure to check out all of the planner goodies in The Crafty Pickle’s new inventory. It’s a planner’s dream!!

TCP1

For this layout, I was inspired by the new goodies in The Craft Pickle Shop. I covered all of the lines on the page using The Crafty Pickle’s thin glitter Washi Tape. This defines the boxes and makes it fun!! The Crafty Pickle just introduced the Sticky Pickle Spot Stickers. These are so awesome to accent important appointments or to just decorate with. They come in asterisks, stars, hearts and circles.
TCP2

Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your planner gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Rock Candy Mix and are super easy to attach. I used a dot of Glossy Accents to attach them. Who doesn’t love sequins???!!!
TCP3

I used the Project Life Everyday Line paper pad & cardstock stickers to accent my layout. I cut triangles & rectangles to accent the planner boxes which adds some color and texture to the pages.

tcp4tcp5

I also attached a “This Month” planner clip! The Crafty Pickle has come out with personalized clips that are adorable!! I used the planner clip to “bookmark” my week. That makes it super easy to grab my week!

Product List:

Rock Candy Relish Mix

Planner Clip

TCP Washi Rolls

Project Life – Everyday Edition 6 x6 Paper Pad

Project Life – Everyday Cardstock Stickers

Miscellaneous Print & Cut Sticker files from Etsy

Glossy Accents

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the new items as soon as the store opens back up. There are so many things that are perfect for your planner!

Happy Planning!

Sweet Birthday Card

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest card using The Crafty Pickle flair.

My sweet friend from high school (yep, we’ve been friends a LONG time!) had a birthday a week ago and I made her this card:

hbd 2u card

It’s a pretty simple card, using scrap papers from  my stash, some rumpled ribbon, foam alphas and this very cute elephant flair button! She adores elephants and when I first saw this button, she came to mind!

Isn’t the flair button the cutest?! I just love it and hope she enjoys this sweet card as well.

Remembering Dad

Remembering Dad

This Father’s Day will be particularly hard for me and my family this year. We lost our Dad in February to a traumatic accident.
My Dad was an awesome guy and the life of the party. We know that he wouldn’t want us to be sad on this day, so I decided
we would celebrate him on Father’s Day. Taniesa created some special flair for me so that I could use them to create cards for my
PL album. I have to say when I first saw them , I cried and I couldn’t believe how perfect and how special these were.

First I wanted to create a card using this My Favorite Memory of my Dad flair so I could document that memory of my Dad.

favorite

His grandchildren called him Superman, they seen him as a strong man who could get through anything, so I wanted to create
a card to honor our ” Superman” using a custom flair of a photo of my Dad.

super

Lastly I wanted to share a lovely gift that Taniesa sent to me for my family and me to wear on Father’s Day, how special is this ribbon and its something we could wear every Father’s Day!!

father

I love how special these custom flair are and how they will help us celebrate and remember my Dad on this Father’s Day.

Taniesa can create custom flair for you no matter the subject, just send her a message in The Crafty Pickle shop and let
her know what you are looking for.

How I Organized some of my Paper crafting supplies. (And a little giveaway!)

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I am going to show you how I have tackled a problem I had been having for a while. For 14 years I have accumulated A LOT of crafting supplies. I have a pretty good memory of what I have, but when it comes to a few things If i don’t see it I wont use it, you know that whole out of sight out of mind thing. Also, I can’t tell you how many times I have purchased duplicates of washi, ink mist, stamps, etc… So I took a binder I had purchased from staples a while back for another use (it’s about 8×10) a great size for on my desk but also to throw in my bag if I happen to go out shopping.

Binder 1-1

I made my own dividers (the ones that were sized for the binder were too small compared to the page protectors) I just stapled on a color tab to make it easy to flip to what I needed. The first section is washi tape. Washi tape is a pattered roll of tape that is easily torn and also doesn’t stick to your paper if you try to peel it off. It does become quite an addiction. If i happen to have a tape that has multiple colors that stand out I might put a sample in each color section. Below are a few pictures of some of the washi samples. I use front and back of each page. Whenever I get a new roll I will not put it away until I put a sample in my book.

binder 2-1

binder 3-1

binder 4-1

Binder 5-1

Next up, Embossing powder. I haven’t used embossing powder much in the past but find myself using it more lately. It has been really hard remembering what colors I have. I split it into three sections, Opaque, Metallic, and Glitter. I stamped all samples with the same stamp and versamark ink to show differences in how it shows up compared to another. Most of my powders are by American Crafts (Zing) which are my favorite but there are a few other brands as well so I listed them in case I run out and need more.

Binder embossing 1-1

binder embossing 2-1

embossing #3-1

Last in the little binder is my ink mists. Oh how I love misting, but I have purchased a few duplicates and it is always nice to have a dried sample so you know what color you are getting. Most of my mists are from Studio Calico (Mister Huey’s) but I noted down which is which along with the color name to make things easy to find.

mists 1-1

mists 2-1mists 3-1

I’m really pleased with how it all came together and in the short time I have had it completed it has helped me quite a bit. I am still working on my stamp binder (a different binder that is 8 1/2 x 11) I have a LOT of stamps so this will probably take me a while. I finished all my wood mounted stamps and I am working on the clear stamps next. I snapped a few pictures of what I am doing though, so you get an idea.

stamps 3-1

stamps 2-1

stamps 1-1

I think stamping my clear sets will go by a lot faster. I used versafine black ink and white cardstock to do all my stamp samples.

I hope this has inspired you to do a little supply organization, in whatever way works for you. If you have any other creative suggestions I would love to hear about them!

And now for a little giveaway! As I said, I accumulated some duplicates before putting this binder together and I would like to share a few things with someone (see photo below). Please enter a comment below with your location, and if you have any organizational tips I would love to hear that as well! and a winner will be chosen Friday Feb.8th around 12pm PST. This is open to anyone (even international!)
