Happy Thanksgiving: Card by Carrie Bryant

Hi Carrie here to share with you a Thanksgiving card I made for my In-laws.

I created this card using the Thankful Heart stamp set from CTMH.  I love that I could use my watercolors to bring the fall colors of the leaves to life in this set. The sentiment is perfect for Thanksgiving too.

I am in love with the Sweater Weather collection by Simple Stories.
I think this great stamp set coordinates perfectly with this collection.  The fall mix sequins from TheCraftyPickle are a perfect accent to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I wish you and yours a Blessed Holiday season filled with Thankful hearts.

Carrie

Thanks Carrie, I just love that stamp set and your card is just adorable!

Make sure to stop by this Monday for our FIRST blog hop and of course lots of prizes!

Have a great weekend everyone!

It’s PSL season!

Hi there, its Treasa here today to share a Project Life card that I made using some of the new Autumn sequin mix in The Crafty Pickle shop and a new flair badge that Taniesa created for wonderful fall season. I must confess that I absolutely love the fall, mostly because of the beautiful trees and the cooler weather but also because its “Pumpkin Season” and I love anything pumpkin and one of my most favorites are Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. These things are fabulous and its like getting a mouthful of fall.
As soon as I received the Autumnsequin mix and thePSl flair I knew I had to create a Project Life card to document my love of PSL.

Here is a close up of that wonderful PSL flair and some of the sequins from the Autumn mix.

I also used some of the paper from the Close to my Heart Pathfinding line. This collection is so perfect for fall and coordinates so well with the Cozy Fall button flairs in the shop. You can also find the Pathfinding collection in Taniesa’s CTMH shop here.

Here’s one last look at the gorgeous Autumn sequin mix in the shop.

Thank you for stopping by and go check out The Crafty Pickle shop and blog.

Mona, Designer at TheCraftyPickle

My name is Monika but everyone call me Mona. I’m a mom to 2 boys ( 9 & 6 ), I’m an engineer who loves to scrap, taking photos and cook. I live in Poland in beautiful city – Cracow. I’ve been scrapping since 2006, when My older boy was 1 and I wanted to make him an birthday album. I love to make layouts and mini albums, but since 2013 I’m in love with PL too. For me scrapbooking is a fun hobby , but also a kind of therapy when I need this. I love misting, sewing and layering, and I’m a fan of white space.

Joann Lopez

My name is Joann Lopez. I am a wife of 7 years to a wonderful man and a mother to 2 little ones, a 4 year old boy and a 10 month baby girl. I found my love for paper crafts when my husband bought me my first cricut. It was our 1 year anniversary (gift idea was paper for 1st year of marriage) and he totally surprised me with it (super thoughtful). Since then I have been addicted to cricut everything and anything. I was a CTMH consultant about a 2 years ago. I am new to using flair but really enjoying it.

I can’t wait to share these girls talent with you all!

My name is Julia, I’m 23 and I’m from Russia. I have been scrapbooking for about three years. At the begining I did only greeting cards, but now I enjoy making Layouts, mini-albums, and other scrapbook projects. I was designing for different russian Challenge Blogs. I like to watch at my progress and I want to develope my skills more and more. I think my style is bright, clean and light… with a little bit of splashes ( though my first projects at the beginning of my fascination with scrapbooking were in vintage style) Last year I became a big fan of the CAS style in cardmaking. I’m so excited to be the part of the Crafty Pickle Design Team and I’m ready to create many interesting projects and share it with people!

I’m married to my hubby of twenty five years, I have two rowdy boys ages 8 and 16 years old and I love to read other peoples blogs, go on adventures, pin stuff on pinterest, cook, craft, and am a reality show junkie. I ‘m a sucker for a little romance or a sappy chick flick. I would say my scrapbooking style would be “organized chaos”. And this hobby has become a way for me to connect with others, express myself, preserve memories and relax with my friends

I will be back tomorrow to introduce you to more talented ladies!

My name is Cathy and I have been scrapping since 2009, after my son was born.  I am a graphic designer and illustrator by trade, though I am currently working as a floral designer.  I absolutely love crafting in every form and I honestly don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t creating!  I love using new and different embellishments in my scrapbooking and am always eager to expand my scrappy knowledge.  For me my scrapbook pages are ways to preserve my family memories, but they are also little mini works of art, and I use my scrapbooking to express myself artistically.

I can’t wait to see what creative things these two have in store for us! See you back tomorrow for two more close ups!

Illustrated Faith: Thankfulness

Hi Crafty Friends!

When Shanna asked me to share my journaling bible with you all I was honored (and a little nervous because I just started). I grew up thinking that you weren’t supposed to write in your bible. Not that anyone told me that, I just assumed because I never saw anyone do it before. To be completely honest I have very rarely picked up my bible in a long time. Now, I find myself wanting to dive into my bible several times throughout the day and the word really stays with me more than it did before. Using my creativity and my love for Jesus has really made this something very special to me.

Today I am sharing pages on being Thankful. Being thankful when everything is going just right is easy (for me) but it was the being thankful with times were really very hard that I had to learn. My husband was out of a job for almost a year; our marriage was rocky not to mention the 5 kids that we were raising were hard at times. We started going to church and I started thanking the lord for EVERYTHING even the hardship we were finding ourselves in, because though that I knew that he had a plan (and he definitely did). By having a thankful heart though the rough times we stop focusing on ourselves and focusing on the only one who is really in control and TRUSTING in him. My prayer for all of you today is that you have a heart full of thanksgiving not just this month but 365 days a year.

In addition to a few pictures that I will post here, I thought I would share a little video talking about a couple of my pages and what I used.

Colossians 3:17
For this page I used some die cuts out of watercolor paper, colored with distress ink and water accented with some gold paint. The sequins are some from the autumn mix in my etsy shop and just glued on with a little bit of glossy accents. I added a transparency page for the final touch. I printed the verse on the portion covering the text and the “Be Thankful” over the journaling column. In the video I show how to attach the transparency in the bible. There is also a thin strip of gold washi tape covering the glue in the center; you could easily skip this step because the glue really isn’t noticeable.

Illustrated Faith: Bible journaling @thecraftypickle.com

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
For this page I did a lot of stamping, I used the hopscotch alphabet from Close To My Heart and some stamps designed by Shanna for Butterfly Reflections Ink. I stamped everything in a permanent dye ink because I knew I would be doing some water coloring. To add color to the page I used the Neocolor II crayons. I added touches of glitter with my wink of stella pen (hard to see in the photo) It is also what I use over the verse(s) that I journaled about.

Here is a video sharing a bit more info.

If you haven’t already, please head over to Shanna Noel’s blog. I am giving away a NIV Note takers bible, I hope it blesses someone who needs it.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Crafty Friends!

Today, design team member Carrie Bryant is sharing this cute little “Insta” Chipboard album she created for Halloween.

Here is how she did it!

First off, I cut down some unfinished chipboard to 4×4 and covered each page with some cute MME Halloween papers I had in my stash.

I love this cute Spider Web Flair from The Crafty Pickle

Each page is embellished and has room for a small photo or journal spot.

This may be my favorite page, I created a shaker box and fished it off with another adorable TCP flair

On this page I added a 3×4 PL card I created for a Halloween Swap.

This is a really easy way to preserve the memories from your Halloween fun.

This is that back of my album. I used Jump rings to bind my album and added fun ribbons to finish it off.

Thanks so much Carrie, for sharing your adorable project!

Check out more in the Crafty Pickle Etsy Shop for more fun flair!

Have a fun and safe Halloween!
