“Oh Happy Day” CTMH Cricut Artiste Collection

Hi friends! Joann here today on The Crafty Pickle blog, thank you so much for stopping by!

As you may know, I own 4 out of 5 of the Cricut Collections that Close to My Heart offers. I absolutely love them. So with that being said I took one of the stamp sets from the Cricut Artiste Collection to create my card!

I started out with stamping and masking some balloons onto my front panel using CTMH Inks in colors Lagoon, Cotton Candy, and Honey and stamped the balloon strings using the same stamp set with some CTMH Black Ink.

Using the same stamp set from the Cricut Artiste Collection, I took one of the sentiments and stamped it with some Honey Ink and used my scissors to cut it out, there is an image on this cartridge that will cut this banner.

Before gluing my top panel to the base of my card, I took an older CTMH stamp set One Way Border and stamped one of the images multiple times with Black Ink to create a background. I finished it off by gluing my top panel down and gluing some TCP Relish Mix to my card.

Hope you enjoyed and thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Tuesday Planner Love!

Hi Friends & Happy Tuesday!

It’s Lisa here today to share this week’s planner layout. Planners are on trend in the Paper crafting community. The Crafty Pickle’s shop will be opening back up soon. Be sure to check out all of the planner goodies in The Crafty Pickle’s new inventory. It’s a planner’s dream!!

TCP1

For this layout, I was inspired by the new goodies in The Craft Pickle Shop. I covered all of the lines on the page using The Crafty Pickle’s thin glitter Washi Tape. This defines the boxes and makes it fun!! The Crafty Pickle just introduced the Sticky Pickle Spot Stickers. These are so awesome to accent important appointments or to just decorate with. They come in asterisks, stars, hearts and circles.
TCP2

Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your planner gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Rock Candy Mix and are super easy to attach. I used a dot of Glossy Accents to attach them. Who doesn’t love sequins???!!!
TCP3

I used the Project Life Everyday Line paper pad & cardstock stickers to accent my layout. I cut triangles & rectangles to accent the planner boxes which adds some color and texture to the pages.

I also attached a “This Month” planner clip! The Crafty Pickle has come out with personalized clips that are adorable!! I used the planner clip to “bookmark” my week. That makes it super easy to grab my week!

Paula’s Card Share

Hi Friends! It’s Paula here with a card share.
For the card base I used white cardstock and the patterned paper is from The Stamps of Life. The stamp set I used is from Close to My Heart. I created a shaker window using a 3×4 rectangle die I have in my stash. Then I added some acetate for the shaker window and relish mix from the shop for the shakers. I fussy cut out a stamped image of the ice cream cone from the set and paper pieced it together then popped it up on some foam tape.

On the inside I just added some more patterned paper.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card share!

Minions Movie Night Pocket Letter

minion1

Hi Pickle Gals!  I am so excited to share with you another one of my Pocket Letter creations using some fun goodies from The Crafty Pickle Etsy Shop (temporarily closed during their relocation).  Who doesn’t love Minions and a good movie night?!  I printed some fun clipart that I found searching Pinterest and Google and cut that out and layered it onto some MME and Basic Grey paper.  The Movie Night Flair assortment adds some fun details and pop of dimension–and some cool shaker elements!  They were actually what inspired my whole letter–then I used the Movie Night Sequin Relish mix, and the pineapple relish mix with a few google eyes to make some fun shaker pockets with my WRMK Fuse tool (which I LOVE!).  Check out some detail shots below and don’t forget to check back often for an announcement of the shop’s reopening and more fun ideas!  minion2minion3minion4

Documenting Disney

Hey you guys!

I’m back with a Disney Project Life share today!

IMG_6667

This was the second Disney section if you will in my PL albums. I’m not a big mini album girl so I like to have a special place in my albums of special trips.

IMG_6669

I was excited to finally use the customized flair from the shop. It reads “Montreuil Family Vacation” and it’s perfect! This is the second page in my documenting. The first page is always about the planning which is key with a family of 7 🙂

I put a little washi on the top of the pocket and aded some sequins from the shop along with a few die cut hearts and a castle.

IMG_6670

I used a little glitter tape and a sticky spot to showcase our checking in picture. I also used the card key envelope from the hotel to hide journaling and the actual key. I always include ephemera from our trips.

Documenting Moments with CTMH

Handmade Greeting cards are fun to create and to give to friends and family.  Close to My Heart has a ton of great stamps for creating cards.

I just purchased this “Documenting Moments” set.  I wanted to use this set for journaling but I also thought this set would make a cute greeting card to send to my daughter in college.

I used Hero Arts Ombre Ink in Lilac to Grape to stamp my image.

The perfect ink choice for this card, my daughters favorite color is purple.

If your an avid card maker like me you should pick up some of the beautiful CTMH stamps available now.

Thanks for stopping by today

Scrapping with Flair!

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout with you.

I love making scrapbook pages and incorporating flair buttons on my pages always excites me! Here is a look at my page:

new jeep

I started with the latest sketch from My Scraps & More. This is a page about my son’s love for his Power Wheels Jeep! I used lots of round elements to mimic the tires of a vehicle.

IMG_0746

I adhered the “Documented” flair button onto a cork circle for more depth. I also used some self-adhesive sequins, also from TCP!

Many times flair buttons are thought to be made for PL or planners, but as you can see, they work well on traditional scrapbook pages too!

Thanks for visiting today!

Scary Halloween to you!

Hi there Crafty friends, it’s Lisa here today to show you a card I created for The Crafty Pickle.

IMG_6773

For this card I used the Close To My Heart Thriller set. To obtain the “grunge” look for the background, I used Ranger’s Alcohol Ink and the Alcohol Blending solution. I mixed these together on a blending sponge and made quick dabs all over the cardstock. Once the cardstock was covered in color, I added the blending solution to the sponge and made quick dabs all over the cardstock. This blended all of the ink and made the colors look more cohesive. Once I achieved the look I was aiming for, I then sprayed the cardstock with the Black Soot Distress Spray to darken up the background a bit.

p2

I stamped the sentiment “scary Halloween to you” on cardstock that I distressed with the Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. To finish the card up, I added a few sequins to the sentiment and the background from the Crafty Pickle Relish Mix.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card, as soon as the Crafty Pickle shop reopens, be sure to take a peek at all the awesome Relish Mixes and Flairs to add fun to your projects.

Happy Monday!

Fallen Leaves foil card by Carrie

I am super excited to share with you today a project I have been dying to try ever since I saw a demo video by the uber talented Tim Holtz.  I will post the link to his video along with a list of products I used at the bottom of this page.

I really like this NEW “Fallen Leaves” stamp set by CTMH.  The outlines are perfect for this technique.   Follow the link to purchase one for yourself.

I stamped the leave images onto craft cardstock then stamped over a few with embossing ink and applied the Sticky embossing powder ( like liquid glue when heated )

then I applied the foil sheets in three different metallic colors. These foil colors are really pretty, the photo does not do them justice.

I fussy cut a few extra leaves after they were dry and adhered them to my card with 3D foam squares to add some dimension.

This is my finished card. I added a cream color photo mat to the Kraft card stock.  I really love this technique and plan on foiling more in the future.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to view Tim’s video to see his handy work.   Carrie for ThecraftyPickle.com

Sweet Birthday Card

Hey Crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest card using The Crafty Pickle flair.

My sweet friend from high school (yep, we’ve been friends a LONG time!) had a birthday a week ago and I made her this card:

hbd 2u card

It’s a pretty simple card, using scrap papers from  my stash, some rumpled ribbon, foam alphas and this very cute elephant flair button! She adores elephants and when I first saw this button, she came to mind!

IMG_0702

Isn’t the flair button the cutest?! I just love it and hope she enjoys this sweet card as well.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope it’s a crafty one for you!
