Hey there it Treasa with another Project Life Kids post.
I can’t believe how fast the summer has gone by and that school starts this week. My granddaughter Kaylee will be going into the second grade and I wanted to create something I could use in my PL album to document this exciting time. I wanted to not only document the normal things, like first day of school photo, teachers name and school. I wanted to capture a piece of Kaylee during this time. So I created a card for her to fill out to capture some aspects of her life right now. To keep it personal I had a personalized flair made with her name and her grade. I thought it was the perfect finishing touch. Here is what I came up with:
I created a file pocket to kind of represent the files kept in the cabinet at school and added some of the star washi tape from the shop to the front of the file pocket. I added a card that says Star Student, this will be a place to put her first day of school photo on. Then I added a Friends card for her to add her friends names. I also used some of the new star and heart Sticky Pickle Spots from the shop. And then on the bus die cut I put her bus number. Finishing it off I used the personalized flair from the shop that says “Kaylee Grade 2”.
I have to say that Kaylee loves contributing to my memory keeping in my PL album and it definitely it more personal to me.
I hope this inspires you to get the children in your life more involved in your PL album.

Bad pickle pun aside, we are opening up the TCP shop tomorrow afternoon and you will definitely want to stop by and see all the new pickle picks! Some of which we are showing you today!
First up is something I am so excited about. Midori’s and Fauxdori’s are all the rage right now and you know how us girls love to accessorize! We have created this cute little customizable Midori Charm to go on your bands….. but guess what? It’s interchangeable! The midori charm is magnetic which means you can add ANY of TCP’s buttons/flair designed or personalized to your midori charm! (this beautiful Fauxdori is the wide version from East And Rory , stop by, view her beautiful collection, and tell her The Crafty Pickle sent you. I love shopping small and handmade)
Next up isn’t something terribly new (more like new and improved), you have seen the large 3 inch clips in our store before but now there are MORE planner designs than ever, we also have personalized planner flair to go on clips (or not) and more clip styles. The Crafty Pickle recently added three new very talented planner girls to our design team! You will be seeing these and a lot more pickle planner essentials in the shop tomorrow as well as their designs! Just look at that gold foil flair on a gold clip? Swoon!
Are you hyped yet? Well if not GET EXCITED because you have only seen such a small portion of what we have coming your way! I am hard at work listing everything this week. I tell ya, this pickle girl has been powered by caffeine to get all these pretty pickle things posted by tomorrow.

Hello, Carrie here with a sneak peek at some New items coming soon to TheCraftyPickle shop this Friday.
Doughnuts are a big thing around our house with the teenagers. I recently purchased this adorable stamp from CTMH ( Close To My Heart ) Its called “Treats of Friendship”
I created this adorable card, embellishing it with one of the new release flairs. Notice the sweet sprinkle washi tape? This too will be available as part of the new release. We are adding a ton of washi and New design flairs to the shop so be sure to pop in on Friday.
Here is a close up look at my card. I added some glossy accents to my frosting on the doughnut for some dimension and shine. And of course a few pickle relish sequins to finish off my card.

Hi there, its Treasa here today to share with you some cards I created using flair from the Movie Night set and the Cinema Relish Mix from The Crafty Pickle Shop.
First up I created a popcorn gift card holder. I used the movie tickets flair from the Movie Night set and the reel from the Cinema Relish Mix.
You pull the popcorn out and the gift card is tucked up inside. I also added a star from the Cinema Relish Mix as well as some Film Strip washi tape from the shop.
I also wanted to create a couple cards for my Project Life album.
I created the base of both cards digitally then went to town adding some items from the shop.
For the Movie Night card, i used the Popcorn flair from the Movie Night set and a reel, movie camera and stars from the Cinema Relish Mix as well as used some of the Film strip washi tape.
For the “I Reely Love You ” card, I put two reels from the Cinema Relish Mix together and added some thin ribbon to look like the film . I also used some of the stars from the Cinema Relish Mix too.

Here is Joann’s super fun FlarTastic Greeting Card I love how she used the vellum as an overlay to soften the background paper …so great!!! And how she used the Something Shiny Slightly Cupped Sequin to follow your eye down the card for interest!!! And bunching the twine behind the Orange Pop of Flair …i am so going to steal that idea!!!

Hi Crafty Friends!
Today I wanted to share with you something new and exciting in our Etsy shop! Starting today, you now have the option to create your very own flair buttons in two different ways!
First, you will need to download our TCP Flair template (found HERE) then print the template on your favorite paper. I used Neenah solar white 80 lb cardstock but anything 80 lb or lighter will work.
Then gather together all the supplies you would like to use to create your flair. You can use different types of coloring mediums, stamps, washi tape, anything smooth and flat will work.
Now for the FUN part! Doodle and color your heart out! Hand letter some phrases for your project life album. Customize monograms or personalized buttons for gifts. Create cute page markers and charms for your planners. Use your favorite stamps (even digi stamps if your handy with photoshop) to create a unique embellishment! Little planner stamps work perfect for this project and most stamp sets have small images that are an inch or smaller. Make sure that you keep your artwork in the center circle, the rest will be cut off when making the flair.
Once you are finished creating your little 1 inch works of art, Cut down the sheet so that it will fit in the envelope you are using. Keeping two or more circles per cut is preferred but not required.
Go to our Etsy store listing HERE to order the amount and type of buttons you would like. If there is a different amount you are wanting than what is listed in our shop just send a custom order request and we can adjust the totals for you. Once you place your order we will send you the mailing address to send your artwork to.
Once we receive your artwork we will send you a confirmation email so you know we have it in hand. We will then cut and create your flair for you and then ship it back. Remember that if you are requesting traditional flat backed flair you will get our signature low profile flat flair style making them perfect for projects that you don’t want to add a lot of bulk.
Usual turn around time is 2-3 business days (sometime sooner) If a rush is needed please check before completing your purchase so we can make sure we can accommodate your request.
Remember, not only can you create traditional flat backed or pin backed flair buttons, but there is other options as well!
I did mention that there was TWO new listings to create your own custom flair. The next option is super easy. Simply grab your favorite papers, Journaling cards, and scraps. Make sure they are NO SMALLER than 2 inches by 2 inches. Pop those papers in an envelope and once you complete your purchase though our store we will send you the mailing address to send these papers in. You can find this shop listing HERE.
We will then turn your collection of papers, cards, and/or scraps into your made to match embellishments! This is a great way to get unique flair to match your favorite paper lines and core kits.
