Thankful Cards with designer, Kristin!

Hi Crafty Friends!
Today, TCP Designer, Kristin, has some adorable handmade pocket cards she is sharing perfect for this season. Take a look!

Hi Kristin here with my first blog post for The Crafty Pickle and I thought that this “Thankful Heart” stamps set just screamer for me to make some pocket pages cards for the kids to write what they were “Thankful” for this year!!
On the top left hand corner cards I thought that I would put a 5X7 picture of my family and I would slide it under the “Thankful Heart” stamped sentiment, then on the cards the kids would write over the wood grain embossing folders from Close to my Heart and all the different techniques I tried with the 3 different leafs stamps that were in the Thankful Heart stamp set, and then I added the arrow button flair set on the cards for you to follow your eyes around the layout!!!

And then here are the close-ups:

Product I used:
Black  & Brown Stazon
Ranger White Super Fine Embossing Powder
Paper Trimmer, Foam Mat & Corner Rounder

Thank you for looking at my work!!

-Kristin

Thanks Kristin, adorable cards!!!

Life Is Beautiful!

Hi Everyone!

Up on the blog today we have a terrific Project Life layout from Stephanie! Take a look!

Hey y’all! Hope you are having a Wonderful Wednesday.
I have a PL spread to share today featuring flair and sequins from The Crafty Pickle!

I have used the Autumn flair and the Autumn Sequins mix. The flatter back of these flair buttons make them easy to add to my PL pages & they fit in my album without a ton of bulk! Check out the awesome selection in the store.

The two larger journal cards are from WRMK & the smaller “Gratitude” card is from MAMBI. Fall is one of my favorite seasons & I adore these photos from a trip to an apple orchard that our family likes to visit. The flair & sequins helped give the feel of Autumn to my page.
Thanks for visiting today. Keep crafty!!
~Stephanie
Thanks Stephanie! I love how the sequins and flair added the special touch to an already awesome layout!

The Crafty Pickle

It’s PSL season!

Hi there, its Treasa here today to share a Project Life card that I made using some of the new Autumn sequin mix in The Crafty Pickle shop and a new flair badge that Taniesa created for wonderful fall season. I must confess that I absolutely love the fall, mostly because of the beautiful trees and the cooler weather but also because its “Pumpkin Season” and I love anything pumpkin and one of my most favorites are Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. These things are fabulous and its like getting a mouthful of fall.
As soon as I received the Autumnsequin mix and thePSl flair I knew I had to create a Project Life card to document my love of PSL.

Here is a close up of that wonderful PSL flair and some of the sequins from the Autumn mix.

I also used some of the paper from the Close to my Heart Pathfinding line. This collection is so perfect for fall and coordinates so well with the Cozy Fall button flairs in the shop. You can also find the Pathfinding collection in Taniesa’s CTMH shop here.

Here’s one last look at the gorgeous Autumn sequin mix in the shop.

Thank you for stopping by and go check out The Crafty Pickle shop and blog.

A Thank You card and a Project Life card using Flair

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I have teamed up with Scrap your Scraps to share some ideas using Flair buttons! I wanted to share two different ideas using some brand new Flair that I just added to The Crafty Pickle Etsy Store.

First up is a thank you gift card holder that I made using my silhouette and a flair from the Cozy Fall Set. I adore Autumn and pumpkin spice latte’s are my favorite!

Coffee Gift Card @TheCraftyPickle.com

I used some cardstock I had on hand and cut out the card design on my Silhouette using design # 29511

Coffee Gift Card @TheCraftyPickle.com

I die cut a tag from some cardstock scraps I had, added a little bit of decorative trim and attached it with a little clothes pin. I attached the PSL (pumpkin spice latte) button with some tombo xtreme adhesive. You could also use a button from the Starbucks flair set too, I just wanted to go for an autumn feel with this card.

Coffee Gift Card @TheCraftyPickle.com

The inside has room for the coffee gift card as well as a little room to write a personal message.

Once it was all finished I slipped the card into a clear envelope and tossed in some of the exclusive autumn mix sequins from The Crafty Pickle Etsy shop for a little added fun touch.

Next up I have a project life card that I am sure anyone can find use for in their album, Mine is usually inspired by one of my teenage boys dodging the camera. For this card I am using the Photo Not Available flair from the Everyday Photo #2 set

No Photo Available Project life card @TheCraftyPickle.com

To make this card I took a white piece of heavy cardstock that was in my scrap pile and cut out the camera design on my silhouette (Design #41015)  The design called for several shades of gray but I only had two shades on hand so I just cut everything out of the white cardstock and colored the pieces with my copic markers (N8, N6, N4, N2, Y15, and Y19) I also used my wink of stella glitter pen and my Stardust gelly roll pen by Sakura

I attached a few sequins (that are always included in my flair packages) and attached the Photo Not Available flair with some Tombo Xtreme adhesive. The base card is a Becky Higgins Project Life grid card.

As you can see above my flair has a very low profile making it ideal for page protectors of all types, especially pocket pages. It’s about the same dimension as chipboard or thickers.

If you haven’t visited The Crafty Pickle Etsy shop recently you might be surprised to find over 30 new flair sets including our new color patterned pop collection and some special limited edition sequins mixes.

Make sure you Stop by the Scrap your Scraps blog for even more flair inspiration, Not to mention a fun giveaway from The Crafty Pickle Etsy Store too!!!

Finally found a Washi storage system that works!

So I have been on the hunt for a storage system for all the Washi tape I have accumulated. I started out in one drawer and that worked for a while but I quickly outgrew that. Washi was everywhere! You might remember my post a few weeks ago about my project life card storage using the Close To My Heart Medium organizer cases. Well those worked out so well that I got a couple of large organizers for my stamps. Those cases stacked up perfectly which made me think of the small organizer and my washi dilemma. I wasn’t too sure if my washi would fit or the rolls would be a little too big so I took a chance and ordered just one of the cases. I was so excited everything fit perfectly with a little room to spare height wise.

For more info visit www.thecraftypickle.com or www.thecraftypickle.ctmh.com

20130319-084553.jpg Did I mention that these cases stack perfectly together? The only difference in the dimentions is the height of the cases.

For more info visit www.thecraftypickle.com or www.thecraftypickle.ctmh.com

So now that I found that these cases work I am going to order a couple more to fit the rest of my collection (yes that was only half of my washi) in the case that I pictured I have a total of 116 rolls, some are wide washi rolls so it could fit more or less depending on the size of your washi tape. I also plan on getting one more along with the insert and small boxes so that I can organize my smaller embellishments like wood veneer.

If you would like to see these cases with the washi a little closer check out THIS youtube video.

To check out the organizers I have described and see more, check out my CTMH website at http://www.thecraftypickle.ctmh.com or click the blinkie on the right hand side of my page (under my photo)

Project life storage discovery!!!

* edited update: If you would like to see a video of how I am currently organizing my Project life cards and monthly Subscriptions please click HERE to be directed to my most current card organizing post.*

Ok, I am really excited to share, this might be old news to some people but for me it was brilliant!!! Close to my heart, a stamping/scrapbooking company, has this medium storage box meant for their acrylic stamps (the stamps are equally as awesome btw) but, it just so happens that is is the perfect storage for ALL my project life cards! Check it out!

ctmh1-1_edited-1

My friends, what you see is my becky higgins card sets (seafoam, cobalt, clementine, turquoise  cherry, and amber collections (aprox. 3/4 to 1/2 of each kit) both the complete Bridgeport and the Mayfield mini kits. I also have the Jan. studio calico project life kit, homemade cards, and blank, and grid cards ALL IN ONE BOX!!! I still have room for more cards in this box as well.

ctmh4-1

This is what it looks like empty. the middle divider is something that needs to stay put unless your taking out ALL the dividers… but the little ones can be removed to accommodate the larger 4×6 cards. See below.

ctmh3-1

Pretty neat huh?!?! I am sure that I will need an additional box once the new spring kits come out and I accumulate more Studio Calico cards. I do plan on putting divider cards for the card sections to mark what edition is what. Its also a pretty box. I like the light green handle and closure. and it has pretty etched scroll work around which you can see a bit below.

ctmh5-1

So…… I got so excited about these boxes, and then the adorable stamps that I can use in project life (love acrylic stamps!) that I became a consultant! If you would like to purchase one you can buy direct from my CTMH website which is: http://thecraftypickle.ctmh.com/

To find the box the path is Shop>Accessories>Organization and then you will find the Medium organizer at the bottom of that page. *edited 2/28 they are IN STOCK!*

If you have any questions at all please let me know! I am so excited to share this with all of you!

Happy Organizing!
