Happy Birthday Honey Bee Stamps!!!

Hi and welcome to Honey Bee Stamps 1st birthday blog hop!!!

Today the designers are featuring the brand new stamp set “Happy Everything” with a sweet little kit put together by designer Lisa Cisneros. For my project I wanted to do a little something different with the stamping. Did you know that if you own a foiling machine or laminator, you can actually foil your stamping work?

All you need to do is do your stamping with a very good black ink. Using a stamp positioner like the MISTI tool can really help. If you miss any spots in your stamping be sure to go over it with a marker or a fine tip pen.

Then take your stamped paper and photocopy onto cardstock using a toner based printer or photocopier. Your image is ready for foiling! Note: This should ONLY be for personal use due to copyright, do not share your photocopy images with others.

That is exactly what I did in my project below. You can see the aqua colored foil in the close up photo. I love how it shimmers right along with all the sequins in the shaker card.

I hope my little tip got your creative wheels-a-turnin’! I know that I want to foil ALL THE THINGS now! LOL.

Snowy Pocket page with flair

Hi Carrie here. Today I am sharing with you a pocket page that I created for my dear friend’s Birthday.

With the last name of Snow and a December birthday I thought this page would be perfect for her.

I used the Doodlebug designs Frosty Friends collection for this project.

Of course I had to add some CraftyPickle flair and Pickle relish sequins when embellishing some of the cards.

The Winter set is perfect for this snowy page.

Christmas Cards with Flair

Today I am sharing a couple of Christmas cards I have made. I love to make my own Christmas cards each year for special family and friends.

I love adding a little “flair” to my cards with some fun buttons from TheCraftyPickle Etsy shop

Rudolf’s nose shines bright with this red bokeh flair.

I really like the layers on this card. The fun Merry & Bright is just the right touch to embellish this card.

Celebrating with Flair

Hi crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share my latest crafty projects.

I know the holiday season is upon us, but in the midst of all the seasonal chaos, we have a daughter who celebrates a birthday (two weeks before Christmas)! So in preparation for her big day, I made two birthday projects. The first is a birthday layout featuring the new gold foil flair button:

I adore these foil buttons oh so much!

My next project is a small gift bag:

I use the hearts flair button here to adorn the fabric rosette and I love the way the gift bag turned out! It’s perfect for holding a gift card, nail polish or any other treasures a 13 year old girl would cherish!!

Hello Santa!

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Lisa here today from Happy Paper & Ink to share a new Project Life card that I created. I am doing some preparation for my December Daily album, so that is what inspired me to create this card.

For this card, I started with Pink Paislee Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad. I cut a tag and a 4×6 project life card from the paper pad. I then cut strips of paper for the side border to add some interest. I cut a snowflake tag on white and red paper using my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut the title using gold glitter vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo for the title “Hello Santa”. I doodled around all the edges with a black 0.8 American Crafts Black Pen and inked with black Memento Ink.

To finish off the card, I used The Crafty Pickle’s Black & White Color Pop Flair and applied it to the top of the snowflake tag. I added some sequins to the corner of the card from The Crafty Pickle. Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your layout or cards gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Magical Mouse mix for this card. I layered the sequins and put red glitter stickle dots on top of some of the sequins to change the look a little. And finally, I tied a bow at the top of the snowflake tag to tie it all together!

Getting Ready….

December is right around the corner ….and I am so getting ready for December Daily and I am pulling out all my fun flair and pickle relish that I can add to my album this year….

Here are some pictures from my album last year …I did an “Elf on a Shelf” last year with all of Steven’s fun adventures around the house …my son loves the album …this year I will be mixing in Steven and daily prompts from The idea Room with a daily calendar …this should be fun!!!

Fall Fun Scrapbook Layout

Hi, Carrie here to share with you my latest scrapbook layout. This is my favorite time of the year. I love to see the leaves turning into beautiful fall colors. Where I live in Southern California there is not a lot of fall color. But only 90 minutes away in Bear Bear Mountain the colors change and it really feels like fall. The weather is cooler and it’s a great place to visit with family and friends. This month I spent a girls scrapbook weekend in Big Bear. I was super excited to create a Scrapbook Layout to document all the beauty of Fall and the time spent with great friends.

My favorite CTMH stamp set is “Fallen Leaves” This is the perfect set for stamping onto patterned paper and fussy cutting out the leaves. I also inked all the edges with Distress Ink.

I added a couple of TCP flairs to embellish my project. These cute little buttons are the perfect touch!

The leaves are falling, it’s time to be Thankful for family and friends. Get out there and document your fall fun adventures.

December Daily – The Joy of Christmas!

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Lisa here today from Happy Paper & Ink to share a new Project Life card that I created. I am in the beginning stages of working on my December Daily album, so that is what inspired me to create this card.

For those of you not familiar with December Daily, Ali Edwards created it to document the days of your December. Basically, you do a page for each day spotlighting the activities of the day to include your family traditions, etc. This will be my first year to do this, and I am super excited!

For this card, I started with Pink Paislee Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad. I cut a tag and a 3×4 project life card from the paper pad. I then used The Crafter’s Workshop Positive Stencil and texture paste to create the black cross or plus signs on the paper to add some dimension and interest in the corners. I doodled around all the edges with a black 0.8 American Crafts Black Pen and inked with black Memento Ink.

To finish off the top of the card, I used The Crafty Pickle’s Black & White Color Pop Flair and wrapped a ribbon around it. I added some sequins from The Crafty Pickle. Adding any of the Relish Mixes to your layout or cards gives a fun, sparkly and thin embellishment. These come in all colors, I used the Magical Mouse mix for this card.

The title on the card is made by using American Crafts cardstock stickers and American Crafts Be Merry Red Thickers Alphabet.

A Favorite Memory

Hey there crafty friends! It’s Stephanie here today to share my latest layout.

I am trying my hardest to get caught up on older photos that need to be scrapped and getting my kids’ albums organized! It’s a big undertaking but I love making scrapbook pages & revisiting old memories. This one is one of my favorites!

My son loved his red rain boots when he was three and in them he discovered the love of jumping in puddles! I will never forget how happy he was when we returned home from an errand & he was able to splash in the puddles!

This flair button is the perfect compliment to my page!! It is the “Favorite Memory” button from the I added it on top of a chipboard circle which was placed on top of a cork circle for added dimension. I love adding thread on my page to lend some texture.
